Artist Biography
b.1990
Flora Yukhnovich of Norwich, completed her MA in Fine Art at the City & Guilds of London Art School in 2017. Her mellifluous, widely influenced aesthetic combines the luxuriant interplays of light, colour, and texture found in Rococo art, particularly Tiepolo and Fragonard, with the exhilarating compositional freedom of abstract painting. Further drawing from modern pop culture sources such as music videos, she aims for an art not tied to single movements, genres, or interpretations, but free to be read and enjoyed from different perspectives.
Yukhnovich’s cultured yet boldly original approach has
earned her attention from prestigious institutions. In 2024, two of her works are prominently displayed at the Wallace Collection, London, until 3 November,
and she is about to launch a solo show at Ordrupgaard, Charlottenlund (DK, 18
September – 19 January 2024).
She has been featured in both group and solo shows with her gallery, Victoria Miro, in London. Her work appears in notable public collections including the Government Art Collection, UK, The Hirshhorn Museum, Washington DC, the National Gallery of Victoria, Melbourne, and the Montreal Museum of Fine Arts.
