A kettle stand, the forged four-legged iron stand by a local St Ives blacksmith, inset with a group of tiles including one decorated with a cormorant drying its wings.

Tiles produced in St Ives, United Kingdom. Iron produced by a local St Ives blacksmith. Underside with handwritten paper label Made in 1944/By Bernard Leach/In Exhibition with Fruit Bowl 1946 Davis Street.
