Artist Biography

South Korean artist Choon Mi Kim (b. Incheon, South
Korea) lives and works in London. She holds an MFA from Goldsmiths University of London and an MFA in Painting from Korea National University of Arts, Seoul.

Her abstract and painterly images draw inspiration from the representational as the artist navigates her cultural identity as a global resident.
Her recent exhibitions include a solo exhibition ACID—FREEEE, Ginny on Frederick, (London, 2023) and group exhibitions Fragment I, COMMUNE, (Vienna, 2024); Away, VINVIN, (Vienna, 2023); Contingency Part-1, Des Bain, (London, 2023).
