Following the landmark ‘Out of This World’ auction in New York, Phillips Private Sales are pleased to present a curated selection of Natural History highlights in Los Angeles.

Predator of the Western Seaway (Fossil Fish Xiphactinus Audax)  Late Cretaceous, online: 100-66 million years old, 19 x 35⅜ x 2¼ in. (48.3 x 89.9 x 5.7 cm), Found: Niobrara Formation, Kansas, United States.

The presentation features exceptional fossils spanning 12–180 million years, a historic group of sculptural iron meteorites, a lunar specimen, and a leading candidate for the first meteorite proposed to originate from Mercury, alongside further natural wonders.

Echoes from the Posidonia Sea (Ammonite Slab) Upper Jurassic (Malm), circa 150 million years old, 24¼ x 34½ x 3½ in. (61.6 x 87.6 x 8.9 cm), Found: Drügendorf, Bavaria, Germany.

Celebrated field paleontologist Harrison Duran will be on-site and available for discussions and guidance. Curated by Phillips Natural History Consultant, Christian D. Link. All works are available for purchase through Phillips Private Sales.
