Exhibition Highlights

Phillips Private Sales is pleased to host Welcome to the Blackout, an installation by Interni Venosta, the brand conceived by designer duo Emiliano Salci and Britt Moran, at Phillips Gallery in Milan alongside Milan Art and Design Week.

Here the dialogue between design and art unfolds between a new collection of furnishings and a curated selection of modern and contemporary masterpieces.

The atmosphere is raw, austere, and unconventional, transforming the space into a striking aesthetic statement. Designed as a home, yet furnished with linoleum and sterile white carpeting, the environment creates a disorienting contrast, amplifying a sense of disorder and latent rebellion.

MICHELANGELO PISTOLETTO Ragazza in minigonna / Ragazza seduta per terra, Executed in 1962-1967.

Within this unique installation Phillips Private Sales features a highly curated selection of works currently available for purchase including: Jean-Michel Basquiat, Enrico Castellani, Tracey Emin, Damien Hirst, and Michelangelo Pistoletto.

These artworks resonate with the conceptual framework of Welcome to the Blackout, deepening the immersive experience and reinforcing the installation’s visual and thematic tension.

The sensory journey is further enriched by the sound design of Nicola Guiducci, founder of Plastic, the legendary Milanese nightclub that has shaped the city’s underground music and clubbing scene for decades.

Within this radical setting, Interni Venosta unveils its third furniture collection, envisioned by Emiliano Salci and Britt Moran. The collection introduces a storage unit, a three-seater sofa, a reclining armchair, a screen, a small armchair, a chair, a round table, and two lamps.

TRACEY EMIN For Her, Executed in 2008.

Each piece embodies a refined balance of aesthetics, materiality, and evocative details, forging a dialogue between past and present. Seamlessly integrated into an environment that channels brutalism and atmosphere, the furniture defines spaces where memory and timelessness converge.

About Interni Venosta
Interni Venosta is the independent project by Emiliano Salci and Britt Moran, founded in 2024 and created together with the Tuscany-based Fabbri Services. Inspired by the prestigious and world-renowned reputation of the twentieth-century Milanese elegance and relying on Italy’s best traditional artisans and manufacturers, the pieces nod to the country’s craft culture as well as push it to a classic status transcending trends in a sophisticated way. While the creative direction is managed in the heart of Milan, the products are completely manufactured in Arezzo, Tuscany.
